'Bewitched' trailer hits the net

Following a fine teaser, this is our first chance to see what Hollywood has done with one of television's most beloved series.

Mar 24 2005

The trailer for the big screen adaptation of TV classic 'Bewitched' has finally hit the net.

Introducing us to Nicole Kidman's Samantha and Will Ferrell's Darrin, the two-minute joke-fest also features appearances from Jason Schwartzman and Michael Caine, and a brief glimpse of Shirley MacLaine, who plays mischievous Endora in the film.

It also fleshes out a little of the story, a somewhat postmodern take on the premise, in which TV producers remake the series with Darrin as the star of the show and mistakenly cast a real-life witch as Samantha.

Directed by Nora Ephron ('Sleepless in Seattle', 'You've Got Mail'), 'Bewitched' is due to hit UK screens on September 2, and is already shaping up to be one of the year's big comedies.
