Cameron Diaz to take a 'Holiday'

The film, which will be written and directed by Nancy Meyers, casts Diaz as a woman with man trouble.

May  5 2005

Cameron Diaz is in talks to star in 'Holiday', a romantic comedy written by Nancy Meyers.

The 'Charlie's Angels' star will play a character with man trouble, whose life changes when she meets a woman from a small English village with much the same problem.

An ensemble piece with five central characters, 'Holiday' will also be directed by Meyers, whose previous credits include the hugely successful romcoms 'What Women Want' and 'Something's Gotta Give'.

The other four characters are yet to be cast.

Diaz will next be seen in Curtis Hanson's 'In Her Shoes' and heard in 'Shrek 3', where her voice will star opposite boyfriend Justin Timberlake's.
