Emilio Estevez to make film about the death of RFK

'Bobby' will star Anthony Hopkins and Demi Moore and take place on the night of Kennedy's assassination.

Emilio Estevez (remember him?) is to return to cinema screens with a film about the night Robert F Kennedy was killed.

The former brat packer is to write and direct 'Bobby', an historical drama that will mix fact with fiction as it follows several charaters around LA's Ambassador Hotel that fateful night.

Anthony Hopkins, who is acting as executive producer on the project, will play the hotel's doorman, while Demi Moore is in negotiations to portray a lounge singer.

And if that weren't enough, Estevez himself is rumoured to have a part in the film, although details of the role are being kept under wraps at present.

Little else is known about the project at this time, although Variety reports that it will take place 'against the backdrop of the cultural issues gripping the country at the time, including racism, sexual inequality and class differences.' Which sounds like heavy stuff from the guy whose last film was 'D3: The Mighty Ducks'.
