'Rush Hour 3' actually getting made

Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan will reunite for the not very eagerly anticipated sequel.

Nov 21 2005

A second 'Rush Hour' sequel doesn't feature high on the list of films Time Out would most like to see get made. Unfortunately, the suits in Hollywood rarely listen to us, and the result is that 'Rush Hour 3' is heading into production soon.

New Line has signed up stars Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan on lucrative deals, while director Brett Ratner (currently hard at work on 'X3') has also climbed aboard the sequel.

Meanwhile Jeff Nathanson, the man responsible for the dire script for part two, has agreed to write the third instalment of the franchise.

There's no news yet on an actual story, although the shoot is set to take place in America and France next summer, with a summer 2007 release date pencilled in. Just don't expect to see us at the front of the queue when it hits screens.

What are you talking about, not eargerly anticipated?! The Rush Hour films are brilliant! Comical, Action Packed, Chan still doing the majority of his own stunts without ropes etc. Tucker and Chan is an amazing combination, as is Chan and Owen Wilson! Time Out...your wrong!
