'Mission: Impossible III' trailer online

Tom Cruise returns as Ethan Hunt in the JJ Abrams directed sequel.

The teaser for Tom Cruise's forthcoming blockbuster 'Mission: Impossible III' has hit the net.

The brief trailer begins with Phillip Seymour Hoffman, the villain of the piece, threatening to do cruel and unusual things to our hero's loved one before the action kicks in, a few cars explode and Cruise does what he does best – big, big stunts.

The teaser also gives us a glimpse at newcomers to the cast, including Laurence Fishburne, Michelle Monaghan, Keri Russell and Maggie Q, while Ving Rhames makes a welcome return as Luther Stickell.

Directed by JJ Abrams ('Lost', 'Alias'), 'M:i:III' is due to hit UK screens on May 5, and promises to be one of the most action-packed pics of 2006.
