J-Lo does Dallas

Jennifer Lopez is in negotiations to play Sue Ellen Ewing in the forthcoming screen version of the TV hit.

Mar 14 2006

The TOMB never thought it would actually happen but, bizarrely, the big screen version of hit TV series 'Dallas' is slowly but surely coming together.

Variety reports that director Robert Luketic has offered his 'Monster-in-Law' star Jennifer Lopez the role of Sue Ellen Ewing, while Luke Wilson is currently in negotiations to play Bobby Ewing and Shirley MacLaine has been asked to play Miss Debbie Ewing.

And if John Travolta accepts the role of JR Ewing, production could start as early as October, once he has finished work on the musical comedy 'Hairspray'.

We'll bring you more news on this strange and potentially disastrous project as and when it breaks.
