Vamp (1986)
Director: Richard Wenk
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Want a stripper for your frat party? Of course you do, so make your way to the After Dark Club, where Katrina and her girls offer a novel blood transfusion service on the side. Blink and you'll miss Grace Jones, as menacing as they come. (Fans of her legendary sweet nature should head straight for the out-takes option on the DVD.) Using an approach to a meagre budget that Lewton or Ulmer would have approved, Wenk lays on atmospheric lighting to disguise the cheap sets. Worth watching for the sake of a scene containing a genuine innovation in vampire-staking.Author: DO
