The Early Bird (1965)
Director: Robert Asher
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Norman Wisdom, like much of Jerry Lewis, should perhaps be reserved exclusively for kids. The continual emphasis on slapstick, the sentimental celebration of the downtrodden but happy moron, and the total inability to rise above the invariably banal plots, tend to induce teeth-gritting agony for the adult viewer. This 'comedy' sees the staggering cretin as a milkman for a small firm whose inept antics save his unappreciative employers from a takeover.Author: GA
