Movie review

From Time Out Film Guide

First feature for Klein, the American expatriate king of visual razzmatazz and strident satire, drawing on his own early background in fashion photography. Polly Maggoo (McGowan) is a suddenly famous model whose true personality is probed by a multitude of people, including a TV interviewer (Noiret) and a lovelorn Ruritanian prince (Frey) who dispatches two secret agents to grab her for his own. Klein's satiric targets may be nothing more than clay pigeons (we all know about media madness), but it's churlish to complain when he shoots at them in such an agreeably nutty way.
