Win a Date with Tad Hamilton! (2004)
Director: Robert Luketic
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Tad Hamilton (Duhamel) is a stereotypical Hollywood idol whose wholesome image is tottering precariously thanks to a magazine snapshot of him cavorting in a car with a bimbo, cigarette and bottle. By way of damage control, his manager and agent devise a competition for one lucky gal to step out with the actor in a blaze of clean publicity. The prize goes to West Virginian grocery clerk Rosalee Futch (Bosworth), an apple-pie blonde with a longstanding friend in her boss Pete (Grace). But following their date, Tad proves so besotted with her 'real world' beauty that he turns up at her workplace to woo her, no matter his career. Pete is miffed. Unbeknown to Rosalee, he's been carrying a torch for her for years. Choices, choices. Robert (Legally Blonde) Luketic's retro rom-com is mostly conventional, especially the formulaic will-she/ won't-she denouement. Yet it's easygoing enough, often amusing, sometimes tender, even cute.Author: DA
