Dimples (1936)
Director: William A Seiter
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Dimples you want, Shirley Temple you get, in this unstoppably cute vehicle for 1936's top attraction at the US box office. Even sceptics have to admit that Shirley's instinctive abilities acted most of her co-stars off the screen, but here loveable Morgan gives as good as he gets as the kindly grandfather who battles to keep custody of the dear little brat when rich socialite Helen Westley tries to adopt her. The tug-of-love plot is followed by the moppet's success on Broadway.Author: TJ
