An Obsession (1997)
Director: Shinji Aoyama
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Cool, distinctive, borderline pretentious thriller about a cop who loses his gun, a lung, his wife and his grip in a shooting incident. The case itself is frankly mystifying, but the manner in which the director layers and textures the film is reward in itself, especially the highly expressive use of sound. Not quite in the Takeshi Kitano league, however.Author: TCh
