Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
This florid indulgence, set in Salamanca, mixes tourist board pictorialism with an impenetrable meander through a greying EU diplomat's murky political past and familial present. His niece, the title character, is a sullen obstreperous junkie, which the film seems to think has something to do with him. Bustling string allegros slathered over the soundtrack, sermonising dialogue and a overwrought voice-over complete the effect.Author: NB
