Once in the Life (2000)
Director: Laurence Fishburne
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Fishburne's directorial debut is based on his own stage play, Riff Raff. The opening has a credible street feel, but everything turns very wordy and theatrical when hustlers Michael and Billy hole up in an abandoned loft space, and Michael's old friend Tony T struggles with the dilemma, to off or not to off. A pity, because there are some fun performances going on.Author: TCh
