Operation Petticoat (1959)
Director: Blake Edwards
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Despite the fortuitous teaming of Grant and Curtis - as the commander of a creaking World War II submarine determined to get it back in action by fair means or foul, and as the con-man lieutenant who obligingly wheels, deals and steals the necessary materials - this is a very thin comedy indeed. Not unpleasant, but the situations (including the inevitable invasion of women aboard the sub) are horribly familiar, and the dialogue none too inspired.Author: GA
