Battling Butler (2000)
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Charming comedy in which Buster, a scion of the idle rich, has to make good his supposed prowess as a prizefighter (a mistake occasioned by an unfortunate coincidence of names) in order to win the hand of a mountain girl. The first half is delightfully inventive as Keaton takes to the mountains in his Rolls for a hilariously feckless hunting trip. A slight drop in temperature latterly, despite some very funny business during the training scenes and the pseudo-championship bout, but the final grudge fight (when Buster realises how the real boxer has tricked him) is a little too nasty for comfort.Author: TM
