Best Men (1997)
Director: Tamra Davis
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Independence, California, July 4th. The day Jesse (Wilson) gets out of jail, he heads for church to marry his sweetheart (Barrymore). Unfortunately, one of his four best men, Billy (Flanery), needs to stop at the bank en route. Billy is the town sheriff's son, but unknown to his pals, he's also the notorious bank robber Hamlet, so-called for his propensity to spout Shakespeare during heists. A dog day situation soon develops, with the nuptials transferred to the bank and the FBI roped in as witnesses. Yet another quirky crime comedy, but on its own terms entertaining enough, with a distinctively sharp take on masculine behaviour and a surprising amount of the Bard.Author: TCh
