Big Momma's House (2000)
Director: Raja Gosnell
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
To corner an escaped bank robber, crack FBI agent and master-of-disguise Malcolm Turner (Lawrence) goes undercover as the obese, grits-cookin', Bible-thumpin' grandmother of the fugitive's former girlfriend Sherry (Long). This contrived set-up precariously in place, Turner predictably falls for comely Sherry. Thereafter, matters alternate between scatological farce and ersatz romantic comedy. The likeable star's characteristic energy is not much in evidence.Author: MHi
