Big Wheels and Sailor (1979)
Director: Doug Aitken
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Lively, innocent and highly characteristic Children's Film Foundation offering in which the 'Big Wheels' of a decidedly well-spoken truckdriver (plus two kids) is hijacked by 'Mother', the cigar-smoking owner of a cab company (Reid), slit-eyed and hissingly dismissive of her incompetent 'children'. Plenty of wheezing hydraulic brakes, junior motorbike rough-riding, and chasing over teetering industrial structures. No less implausible than Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but from a different age.Author: JPy
