Boxing Helena (1993)
Director: Jennifer Chambers Lynch
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Fenn is the free-spirited Helena, unfortunate object of surgeon Sands' sexual obsession. His courtship only invites scorn - but, when Helena is hit by a car outside his family mansion, the doc sees a chance to cut her down to size. Lynch in her first stab at directing tries for the black-comic, blue velvet knife-edge between surrealism and perversity, but the results - neither graphic, nor gruesome - are simply incongruous. Grotesquely misconceived.Author: TCh
