The Buttercup Chain (1970)
Director: Robert Ellis Miller
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Awesomely arty tosh in which Bennett and Asher play the children of identical twins. In love but inhibited from making love with each other, they console themselves with an American girl who drives on the wrong side of the road (Taylor-Young) and a Swede called Fred who swims in the nude (Taube). Resolutely globe-trotting from one tourist attraction to the next, the camera follows the quartet to Spain, Sweden and Italy as they pair off into various combinations, meanwhile suffering self-inflicted torments. Miller's fulsome direction very nearly puts even Lelouch in the shade.Author: TM
