From Time Out Film Guide

Appalling rehash of Casablanca, with Bronson as the expat living on the coast of Peru after the war and coming into conflict with Nazis over treasure at the bottom of the sea. Indescribably inept.

Posted on Sep 08 2008 12:17 Excellent romantioc thriller that surpassed my expectations, It was mad ein Mexico, not Peru, and Bronson shows how much pf a good actor he really was when guns and horses were taken away from him. The plot has nothing to do with Casablanaca, only the title, and the story is more reminiscent of ernest Hemingway than Howard Koch who wrote Casablanca. The color jungle photography is breathtaking and the music by Jerry Goldsmith is one the composer's most atmospheric scores. Direcgtor J. Lee Thompason rated this as one of his favorite films and star bronson loved mexico so much he bought a house here! Highly recommended for connossieurs of smart, sexy classic moviemaking!
