Caesar and Cleopatra (1945)
Director: Gabriel Pascal
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Lavish but frequently dull and theatrical adaptation of Bernard Shaw's play about imperial romance up the Nile. Some of the wit survives despite being swamped by the spectacle, the Technicolor photography (by a number of cameramen) is eye-catching, and Rains turns in his usual sturdy performance. But it's all something of an overwrought folly.Author: GA
