Movie review

From Time Out Film Guide

Shorn of the intellectual pretensions of its predecessor Conan the Barbarian (ditto the gratuitous sex), this yarn is far closer to creator Robert E Howard's preference for small minds in big bodies - a requirement Schwarzenegger fills wonderfully. A predictable quest plot is unwound with tremendous verve, and the only real disappointments are some ropey special effects. But Fleischer's zest for action carries it all along splendidly.
