Good Morning, Boys! (1937)
Director: Marcel Varnel
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
This brisk vehicle for Hay's idiosyncratic talents has him in the tailor-made role of a roguish schoolmaster, whose wayward teaching methods win him a trip to Paris with his French class. There's a stowaway in the party and they become involved in the theft of the Mona Lisa. Hay's persona is a much more cynical and devious than the gauche type George Formby played for director Varnel, which goes some way to explaining why this, his finest hour, hasn't dated too badly.Author: TJ
