Head Above Water (1996)
Director: Jim Wilson
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Alone in a remote holiday beach house in Maine, while her judge husband (Keitel) and local childhood friend (Sheffer) go sea-fishing, ex-party girl Diaz is visited by old flame Zane - whose dead body she finds next morning on the living room couch. Keitel's miscast as a pipe-chewing father figure, while Diaz, clad mostly in a one-piece yellow swimsuit, is left floundering in the shallows of a script which relies on ludicrous human behaviour and mechanical plot twists, the latter signposted by an over-emphatic score.
