Movie review

From Time Out Film Guide

As Robin Wright's (hardly unglamorous) Moll overcomes poverty, abuse, prostitution, drink, rich people's spite and the loss of her loved ones, her journal is recounted by Moll's fellow servant and ally Hibble (Freeman) to her orphaned daughter Flora (Corcoran). Many cut-out characters, and direction consisting largely of putting pictures against the words: a very basic historical tour of 18th century England.
