Quest for Love (1971)
Director: Ralph Thomas
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
An adaptation of a story by John Wyndham, but as directed by Ralph Thomas and 'acted' by Joan Collins, it emerges as a puerile sci-fi romance in which a scientist (Bell) is transported into a parallel world. The year is the same, but in his new world, Vietnam hasn't happened, nor the conquest of Everest, nor the surgery of heart transplants. Making little of this premise, the film plunges forthwith into a moony romance where his lady of the camellias (Collins) dies of a heart condition, and he races off in search of her counterpart in the other world to save her from a similar fate.Author: TM
