6.5 Special (1958)
Director: Alfred Shaugnessy
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
BBC TV's hit pop series of the '50s transferred to the cinema with the minimum of plot and the maximum of music: showbiz wannabes Leslie and Todd hop on the 6.05 Glasgow to London train; a host of stars, not surprisingly, are rehearsing on board. The line-up includes Petula Clark, Dankworth and Laine, Jim Dale (and youthful comic duo Mike and Bernie Winters), but when we finally reach the studio, it's Lonnie Donegan who closes the show.Author: TJ
