Movie review

From Time Out Film Guide

Some who lasted the course reported that there were a few funny moments in the latter half of this satire on the media and its obsession with fashion, beauty and celebrity, but I gave up after 40 minutes, worn down by the heavy-handed obviousness of it all. A pity, given the intelligence of Arcand's past efforts, but this story of a hockey playing student, who finds fame and fortune in the designer capitals is let down by dismal performances, predictable satire and narrative clumsiness.
