Movie review

From Time Out Film Guide

Sprawling family saga set in the Australian wilderness of the '20s finds Kerr, Mitchum and his old shipmate Ustinov hoping to make a new life for themselves from the proceeds of a lengthy cross-country sheep-drive. Zinnemann's customary care for detail pays occasional dividends, but the film goes on rather too long. Sturdy performances and location work. Isobel Lennart wrote the script from a novel by Jon Cleary.
