Roomates (1993)
Director: Alan Metzger
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
An AIDS picture about an angry Irish-American roughneck (Quaid) and a saintly piano-playing WASP (Stoltz) thrown together in a Seattle apartment house for the terminally ill, in which the death of the latter teaches the former the virtues of tolerance and acceptance. It's hard to write ill of a film so obviously made from the heart, but sentimentality is, regrettably, the dominant mood of this sanitised and improbable story.Author: JPy
