Movie review

From Time Out Film Guide

Keen to cash in on the considerable comic talents of their up-and-coming Lucille Ball, RKO intended to set her up in a series. This, the first, sees her as a movie actress in need of publicity whose resourceful press agent (Oakie) contrives to have her imprisoned as a stunt. Fast, undemanding and bright, but only one more in the series followed: Annabel Takes a Tour (1938).
