Another Shore (1948)
Director: Charles Crichton
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Patchy and characteristically whimsical Ealing comedy, set in an unconvincingly observed Dublin, about an Irish customs clerk with dreams of moving to a South Sea paradise. An encounter with a wealthy alchoholic (Holloway) offers him his chance, but he gives it up for the sake of love. Beatty is miscast as the feckless dreamer, and the whole thing is too slim to sustain interest.Author: GA
