Movie review

From Time Out Film Guide

Since jumping into Bruce Lee's shoes, Chan has produced a furious fistful of Hong Kong-set action pictures, low on plot but high on jinks and Chan's own particular brand of self-deprecating humour. Here he strays far from home, and much of the magic evaporates with bigger budgets and the European locations which adventurer 'Asian Hawk' (Chan) and his pop star foil (Tam) pass through in their crazy quest for some relics of Crusader's armour, ending up outside Zagreb to take on a motley fraternity of malevolent troglodyte monks led by a Grand Wizard sporting Bela Lugosi's cloak. What pleasures the action sequences offer are negated by the ludicrous dubbing and half-hour tracts of tedium.
