Ask Any Girl (1959)
Director: Charles Walters
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
MGM laid on the Fifth Avenue gloss for this obvious but not unpleasing comic romance in which Pennsylvanian hick Shirley MacLaine (very appealing in one of her first major roles) comes to New York City, beats off a queue of menfolk, and then enlists the help of suave David Niven in winning the affections of his Lothario brother Gig Young. It doesn't take X-ray vision to figure out who she's gonna end up with, but these folks know how to make the time pass amiably enough. Adapted by George Wells from the novel by Winifred Wolfe, and shot in 'Scope.Author: TJ
