Asterix and the Big Fight (1989)
Director: Philippe Grimond
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
The sixth animated Asterix feature. Yet again the gall of the indomitable Gauls rises against the superior forces of the Roman Empire. In the only village left to be captured, Asterix and Obelix, plus faithful canine accomplice Dogmatix, are the fighters maintaining freedom against the legionnaires and their collaborators, including a surly trickster who passes himself off as a soothsayer. Unfortunately, due to an over-enthusiastic Obelix, the village druid Getafix is out of action and unable to provide the magic brew which will give the superhuman strength Asterix relies on. Magic animation and a familiarly reassuring cast of English voices contribute to an engaging film.Author: JGl
