Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
About reincarnation, with Hopkins persuading Mason and Beck that their daughter may be his dead child returned to life, but not one in the long line of demonic kiddie pics. Wise's film is overlong, sometimes over-emphatic, and it has a staggeringly misjudged ending. But it's also notable for centering on the emotional plight of the paranormal malarkey. It is ultimately, in fact, a strikingly sober portrait of the incompatibilities of marriage, filmed with an attention to 'style' and design that is positively old-fashioned.Author: TR
