Movie review

From Time Out Film Guide

This crossover Italian hit (and Sundance prizewinner) focuses on a group of Roman 30-year-olds and their aprehension of maturity. When Carlo (Accorsi, a perfect confusion of machismo and insecurity) learns that his partner Anna (Mezzogiorno) is pregnant, he becomes infatuated by the prospect of one last kiss from a teenage temptress (Stella). At the same time, the girl's mother (Sandrelli, outstanding) finally embarks on a search for her own liberty. The cast have glossy good looks and considerable chemistry, and the direction is marked by assurance and several witty asides.
