Last Train from Gun Hill (1959)
Director: John Sturges
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Douglas as the sheriff determined to take in the rapist who killed his wife, Quinn as the old friend who happens to be the delinquent's father and is equally determined to stop him. An enjoyable Western, remarkably similar but much inferior to 3.10 to Yuma, made a couple of years earlier. Vigorous performances, superb camerawork from Charles Lang and muscular direction are let down by a conventional script which creates characters without any real depth or resonance.Author: TM
