Bob, Verushka & the Pursuit of Happiness (2000)
Director: Roger Stigliano
Movie review
From Time Out New York
Divorced, living with his sister and reduced to selling aerosol cans of new-car smell, nebbishy Bob (Waite) dreams of opening a fast-food joint for preschoolers. In the meantime he's forced to spend a day observing crackerjack saleswoman Verushka (Danova), who takes him on an impulsive road trip in a boosted car. It seems mean to rag on a scrappy little striver of a picture like this. But the story demands a seductive gloss that's absent, and Waite's voiceover is unbearably grating.Author: MM
