Movie review

From Time Out London

It can’t be easy being Satyajit Ray’s son, and this stolid offering sadly illustrates just how far Sandip falls short of his father’s achievements. In the Himalayan foothills, an old colonial house hosts a gathering of family and friends, a time of nostalgic recollections and affectionate match-making until the forces of nature suddenly leave the place isolated, bringing long-suppressed tensions to the surface. The intention may be Chekhovian but the execution’s closer to the forced dramatics of a soapy disaster flick. Very disappointing.
