Bratz: The Movie (2007)
Director: Sean McNamara
Movie review
From Time Out Chicago
Based on a popular line of whorish dolls, this shrill, tinny, aspartame-flavored live-action comedy for the tweener set isn’t as toxic as it might have been (the four title characters dress with relative modesty and aren’t unduly sexualized) but that still leaves plenty of room for it to drive accompanying parents or guardians out of their gourds. The money shots are the frequent shopping montages, the possible fallout of which should be factored into the overall cost of attendance. Voight (Deliverance), nonetheless, is characteristically brilliant. Psych!Author: Cliff Doerksen
