Quarantine (2008)
Director: John Erick Dowdle
Movie review
From Time Out Chicago
Once again, gory horrors befall oddly committed videographers—in this case, a TV crew trapped inside a rabies-infected L.A. building swarming with flesh-chompers. Even The Blair Witch Project never quite licked this concept’s essential dumbness: Put. The camera. Down. Already. But Quarantine has just enough stylishness—it might be the best of this trendlet—to justify itself as a thrill ride. Extended scenes of panic are effective, and even Hitchcock would smile at the dispatching of one sickie with the lens itself, a blood-spattered weapon.Author: Joshua Rothkopf
