Taken (2008)
Director: Pierre Morel
Synopsis
An ex–CIA operative (Liam Neeson) hunts down sex traffickers who have kidnapped his daughter.
Movie review
From Time Out Chicago
Ex–CIA operative Bryan Mills (Neeson) warns his daughter (Grace) to be careful in Europe, and boy, is he not kidding—she can’t even catch a cab from the airport without blundering into trouble. Pretty soon her Baueresque dad will be on her trail, torturing Albanian sex traffickers when not dodging the Paris police. Minute for minute, it’s difficult to imagine a dumber film, but what Taken lacks in plausibility, originality, political correctness and basic regard for human life it makes up for with a breakneck pace—going straight from the eyes and ears to the adrenal glands.Author: Ben Kenigsberg

Neeson is believable in the role of a hardened government agent set on rescuing his abdcuted daughter before she is lost forever in the world of human trafficing and prostitution. The film entertains throughout and is 94 minutes of entertainment. It's exactly what you want in a film.
