Movie review

From Time Out Chicago

At least the title is partly true: This would-be satire is indeed a disaster. Scary Movie creators Friedberg and Seltzer return to their hit-or-miss formula of bite-sized spoofs loosely strung together, but they squander opportunity by pretty much ignoring the disaster genre, barely referencing Cloverfield as they move on to broader targets like this summer’s superhero blockbusters and assorted pop-culture celebrities. The miniscule production budget apparently dictated the number of laughs, because the only remotely funny moments come from a parody of Juno.
