Paul Blart: Mall Cop (2009)
Director: Steve Carr
Movie review
From Time Out Chicago
Give James credit; he’s not afraid to make himself the butt of a lot of fat-guy jokes. And that’s pretty much all Paul Blart: Mall Cop has to offer. Fat mall security guard falls down. He’s hungry a lot. He woos a supposed hottie (Mays)—though given the film’s hideous cinematography, she ain’t all that hot. He foils crooks on skateboards who are into parkour (how 2008!). The Black Friday setting suggests that this was meant to be a holiday release, but it’s not hard to see why the studio dumped this suckfest in January.Author: Hank Sartin
