Movie review

From Time Out Online

When hard man Colin Diamond’s wife ends their 21-year marriage with a confession of infidelity, the big man flips and takes to the bottle. Still, he’s in better shape than his wife’s lover whom his four foul-mouthed, criminally-minded mates have kidnapped for retribution. Winstone tears up the screen in this stage-like, five-hander with a virtuoso performance of a broken, maudlin, melancholic man on the brink of self-destruction. Hurt, McShane, Wilkinson and Dillane, meanwhile, add extra weight to what is essentially a poignant, emotional and often amusing eulogy on the meanings of love and marriage.
