Movie review

From Time Out Online

Jannus is about to have his tonsils removed and tells younger brother Max that unless he collects frog spawn for him, he (Jannus) will be unable to speak after the operation. Returning to his grandmother’s house after visiting the hospital, Max encounters a young girl who joins him on his rather sedate quest. Five-year-old Alice and I found the film dull and slow moving (the subtitles didn’t help so having them read aloud may improve things a bit). The most enjoyable moment came when Max tries to board a bus back to his grandmother’s and is confronted by a lady bus driver with a Joe Cocker voice (not that Alice knows who Joe Cocker is).
