Armored (2009)
Director: Nimród Antal
Movie review
From Time Out Chicago
The January movie doldrums arrive early with Armored, a depressingly slack heist flick that’s all premise, no script. Security guards who drive an armored truck want extra cash. But where to find it? Hey: They could fake a hijacking and stash the money without anyone getting hurt, right? Director Nimrod Antal (Kontroll) appears to have at least watched Heat and Reservoir Dogs, but he doesn’t seem to grasp that what makes those movies pop are attitude and memorable characters. No, Matt Dillon’s decision to grunt every line doesn’t count. Don’t get swindled.
